TEDxAmsterdam is always looking for initiators of disruptive innovations and concrete ideas, ideas that fit our planet’s future needs; social and/or environmentally.

FROM IDEA TO STAGE IN EIGHT WEEKS

The TEDxAmsterdam Impact Program is an eight-week accelerator for early-stage entrepreneurs building ideas with real-world impact. Participants develop their concept through structured guidance, mentorship, and hands-on feedback.
The journey culminates on the TEDx stage, where selected participants present their breakthrough project to a live audience.

THE PROGRAM JOURNEY

Over the course of the Impact Program, participants move through a structured journey designed sharpen their thinking, strengthen their model, and prepare them to share ideas worth spreading.

Alice Cardoso

Project Fearless

Project Fearless creates safe, supportive spaces for girls and gender-fluid kids aged 9–14, building self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and resilience through hands-on programs. By end of 2025: 2,570 kids impacted, 223 courses, 500 volunteers. Operates in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Alice — a Brazilian-German immigrant who built her own career without a safety net — will be the program representative, reflecting the lived experience at the heart of the mission.

Bowi Tossijn

My First Period Box

Bowi Tossijn is the founder of My First Period Box, an educational toolkit designed to help children and families navigate one of life's most important milestones with confidence and understanding. Combining practical menstrual products, conversation prompts, and age-appropriate educational materials, the initiative helps normalize conversations around menstruation and reduce stigma from an early age. Bowi's mission is to ensure that every child enters puberty informed, supported, and empowered.

Rivelino Rigters

Criminal Minded Foundation

Criminal Minded uses talent development and personal coaching to reduce recidivism among young offenders — during and after detention. Rivelino, himself a former offender, and his team have reached 10,000+ young people in five Dutch youth prisons since 2018, with 500+ completing the program without reoffending. Also active in Suriname, Mexico, and Italy.

Juan Cruz Tubio

MycoFarming

Juan Cruz Tubio is the Founder of MycoFarming, a deep-tech innovation company pioneering nature-based water treatment through fungal biotechnology. Based in the Netherlands, he leads the development and deployment of scalable mycofiltration systems, unlocking the natural ability of fungi to filter, and regenerate water systems at scale. Juan Cruz is focused on translating scientific breakthroughs into real-world impact, rethinking how we treat water, rebuild ecosystems, and design resilient infrastructure for the future. MycoFarming is currently raising seed funding.

Sophie Haccou

CupHub

CupHub designed “Casey” — a portable menstrual cup cleaner that makes sustainable period products practical anywhere, anytime. Running B2C and B2B2C pilots, with a letter of intent from De Rotterdamse Uitdaging for 200 Caseys and 5 workshops for people in period poverty. TU Delft engineering background.

Cheyenne Baly

WAVE

WAVE builds structural bridges between institutions and underrepresented young people, embedding youth voices in policy and program design. Partners include the Dutch Ministry of Health & Sport and the National Slavery Past Commemoration Committee. ~€100K revenue in 2025. Cheyenne is a young female founder of color with direct lived experience of the gap she’s closing.

Ana Butylkina, Doreh Bovelet, Sascha Strankinga & Aleksandra Vik

SAM

SAM is a smart family assistant for working parents managing school and family logistics across emails, WhatsApp groups, portals, and paper notes. It brings everything into one shared family board and uses AI to extract tasks, deadlines, and actions. SAM addresses the invisible cognitive labor of family admin that falls disproportionately on mothers and is linked to parental burnout and partner conflict. By making this work visible and actionable, SAM reduces last minute stress. Built by four working mothers with eight children across multiple schools. Validated through Amsterdam Business School's MBA program, pitched to Silicon Valley VCs, and currently in early fundraising.

Eleonora Ungaro, Chiara Ferri

Genera

Genera empowers young people to build safe, healthy relationships through education on sexuality, gender equality, and relational intelligence. Through multi-session workshop programs in schools across Italy and the Netherlands, they create safe, experiencial spaces, through peer discussion, roleplay, and digital awareness.  Their mission: prevent gender-based and cyber violence before it begins. Chiara brings her expertise in sexuality and relationships and Eleonora focuses on human rights and advocacy. First pilot: March 2026 at Locarno High School, 20+ interviews with young people & teachers, we are currently fundraising.
