2009
TEDxAmsterdam began in 2009 as Europe’s first TEDx event. Founded by Dutch entrepreneur Jim Stolze, what started as a local experiment quickly grew into a platform with global reach.
2024
TEDxAmsterdam and TEDxAmsterdamWomen joined forces, continuing as TEDxAmsterdam. The new chapter was designed to amplify our collective voice and create greater visibility and opportunities for diversity and inclusion.

Each year, a new theme invites speakers to explore today’s key questions and opportunities. We’ve hosted remarkable voices such as Jimmy Nelson, Adah Parris, Michaela DePrince, General Peter van Uhm, and Marcel Levi.
